Who are these for? What ages are these for?

There is no wrong age for heirloom portraits, but most of the time these are done from ages 6 months to 8 years old. The only age requirement is sitting independently.

How long is the session?

These are short and sweet sessions, often just 15-20 minutes, that you will love for generations.

What is included in heirloom sessions?

After your session you’ll select your favorite digital image(s) and custom framed artwork.The session fee books your time slot and the final investment varies on which products you select.

What clothing should my little one wear?

For a traditional heirloom look, choose clothing that has details like collars, lace, smocking, etc. Think of a headshot portrait of your child and what detailing you want included.

What will my gallery consist of?

We will make the most of our time together and snap a variety of photos to include: child looking at camera, left profile, right profile, and a variety of little expressions from the moments in between. Siblings are welcome to join.

Clothing Guide

Heirloom portraits have a distinct style to include clothing. Outfits with collars, ruffles, lace, etc. photograph great in these portraits.

When looking at outfits, pay attention to the neckline. Because these photos are cropped in (think headshots), focus on the details the outfit has close to your little one’s face. Little accessories like bows can photograph beautifully too.

Look for neutral colors to avoid bright color reflections onto skin tones.
