How long is an heirloom portrait session?

These are short and sweet sessions, often just 15-20 minutes. Siblings are welcome and may add a few extra minutes to our time together.

How do I select my heirloom portraits?

At your session, you’ll see your images and select your favorites.

You’ll select which images will get the traditional heirloom style edit, and have the option to purchase custom framed artwork.

What clothing should my child wear for heirloom portraits?

For a traditional heirloom look, choose clothing that has details like collars, lace, smocking, etc. Think of a headshot portrait of your child and what detailing you want included.

What will my gallery consist of?

We will make the most of our time together and snap a variety of photos to include: child looking at camera, left profile, right profile. Their unique expressions and features are the primary focus of our time together.

Heirloom Portrait Clothing Guide

Heirloom portraits have a distinct style to include clothing. Outfits with collars, ruffles, lace, etc. photograph great in these portraits.

When looking at outfits, pay attention to the neckline. Because these photos are cropped in (think headshots), focus on the details the outfit has close to your little one’s face. Little accessories like bows can photograph beautifully too.

Look for neutral colors to avoid bright color reflections onto skin tones.
