Apollo Beach Maternity Session | A Storm Warning, and a Sunset Just for Them

An hour before this session, my phone lit up with a severe thunderstorm warning. The forecast had said overcast all day, nothing dramatic, and I was expecting soft light and calm water.

Carolyn and Blake were celebrating their baby shower welcoming their little one’s arrival the day of our shoot. Then the storm rolled in. I touched base with them to happily offer to reschedule but they didn't hesitate. They said they'd rather wait it out and continue with our plans. That's when I realized I was dealing with true Florida family!

We met at Apollo Beach for their maternity session after the storm passed and had the space to ourselves. We strolled the beach area, chatted about family life in the area, and ended with a sunset just for us. I love this location for a convenient and scenic beach location for Riverview families.
